1. Is Zynadent indicated for daily use in achieving oral hygiene and dental care?
Absolutely. Zynadentwas developed and is perfectly safe to use every day in order to achieve and maintain oral hygiene and dental care.
2. Is there scientific proof that Zynadent is effective and works?
There are six active ingredients in Zynadent, i.e. Pelargonium Sidoides Extract, Clove Oil Extract, Lemongrass Extract, Hydrogen Peroxide (Medical Grade), Xylitol and Colloidal Silver. There are numerous clinical trials and studies that have proven the efficacy of the ingredients (See Section “Clinical Studies”). A synergistic effect in the efficacy thereof is achieved by Zynadent as a combination of the six active ingredients.
3. Do I have to continue to visit my dentist and oral hygienist if I use Zynadent?
Absolutely. Your dentist and oral hygienist are of paramount importance and fulfill a pivotal role in maintaining dental health. Regular visits to them are essential.
4. Does Zynadent replace brushing of teeth?
No – however optimal hygiene and dental care is achieved by combining brushing and rinsing with Zynadentsince unlike brushing alone, rinsing with Zynadent is not technique dependent in achieving optimal results. Good results are achieved by simultaneous brushing for the last 30 seconds while rinsing with Zynadent.
5. Sometimes I experience excessive frothing when rinsing with Zynadent?
When one of the active ingredients of Zynadent comes into contact and eradicates bacteria it causes frothing – it is therefore normal and is an indication that it is working. With excessive frothing discard (spit out) a small amount and continue rinsing.
6. I sometimes experience minor burning when rinsing with Zynadent?
A slight sensation of burning can occur when using Zynadent, especially in instances where there are small ulcers or sores in the mouth or in post – operative cases. It can be relieved by diluting Zynadent with water (in a 1:1 ratio). Severe or uncomfortable burning is not normal with Zynadentand if it persists consult your dentist or oral hygienist.
7. I have swallowed a small amount of Zynadent?
Swallowing a small amount of Zynadent does not pose any problem, but as indicated on the packaging it should not be swallowed regularly.
8. Why can my child who is less than 6 years old not use Zynadent?
The only reason for children less than 6 years of age not to use Zynadent is that they may find it difficult to coordinate to spit out once they have rinsed. If your child can coordinate that they can use Zynadent.
9. What is the minimum times per day that I should rinse with Zynadent?
Dental plaque takes 4 – 12 hours to form and starts hardening within 48 hours of forming. It is therefore recommended to rinse at least twice daily, but preferably 3 – 4 times per day.
10. What is the maximum times per day that I can rinse with Zynadent?
In reality there is no maximum number of times per day that you may rinse with Zynadent. In extreme cases, e.g. after oral surgery or with mouth and gum disease you can rinse every 2 – 3 hours which equates to 8 – 12 times per day.
